In recent years, working remotely has become more popular. Working remotely increases motivation and is also more sustainable. It improves the work-life balance. Despite these advantages, you can sometimes get stuck. If you are experiencing a lack of inspiration to finish tasks, continue reading. Below are listed ways to get more creativity in the brain.

Working in a Cafe

Cafe: another place to work

First of all, a cafeteria can help to work in different surroundings. Most cafes allow customers to sit for a couple of hours. Primarily, find a café close by to work. Order a coffee and don’t be afraid to ask for the Wi-Fi password. Then, find a cosy corner to sit and enjoy your beverage and perhaps a snack, while working on your tasks. As a result, the buzz of life around you might help you get more focused.

Coworking spaces

With the increase of remote work, new workspaces have also arisen. Actually, coworking spaces can be found in most big cities. Here, individuals and companies can rent a space for some time. So, it does cost money. However, some places also offer a membership with unlimited access. These coworking spaces provide room for like-minded people to work next to each other and interact.

Visit a museum

If you feel completely stuck, find creativity in a museum. Whether an art museum or a historic one, it provides a distraction. In fact, introducing your brain to these other concepts might offer a different perspective. Through an artist's eye, learn to see the world differently. As a result of changing the routine, you are able to change your mindset. Thus, this change can lead to a breakthrough.

Experience nature

Offer the mind rests by going outside. For example, take a hike to activate your body and free your mind. Otherwise, do yoga outside. Even if you don’t want to leave the house, watch nature documentaries. Watching other creatures interact and live carefree lives can lift your own spirit. Learn to appreciate your surroundings, and transform this positive feeling into inspiration for your work.

Journaling

Writing down plans and ideas creates a better picture of what goes on in your mind. A journal can be about yourself and your thoughts and feelings. However, it can also be about ideas that you have or sources of inspiration for you. Making a visual map of what goes on in your brain can allow you to categorise all of this better. So, if you find a structure, you can categorise ideas and clean up your brain.

Family

While you might be busy with work, it is also important to focus on relationships with your loved ones. For that reason, make sure to spend time with family and friends keeping a balance between work and personal life. This way, you can surround yourself with supportive people and gain motivation. In fact, being in a loving environment helps a lot when dealing with stress and bad times. Therefore, whenever you feel overwhelmed, don’t be afraid to reach out to people who care for you.

Go on a trip

Sometimes, when you have been working hard for a long time, your mind needs a big break. Because of this, pay attention to what your body needs. If you feel like you have nothing left to give, take a short vacation. Go away for a weekend. Visit a spa or go to another country. Do something that relates to your work. This way you focus on yourself before getting drained by other things. In other words, allow your body a well-deserved break.

How to get inspired when working remotely

If you are feeling uninspired, make sure to break your routine. In case an activity doesn’t work one day, try it again on another day. Your body and mind have different needs sometimes, so try to listen to them. Make sure to prioritise yourself above your work.
